Aussies taking on the World!

Aussie world domination seems eminent! At least in the motocross scene anyways. Kawasaki pilot Daniel Reardon has confirmed he will ride the final round of the AMA motocross championships at Glen Helen, California, USA on September 10. He is joining fellow Aussie Jake Moss who is racing a White Brothers YZ250F. Both these guys will be heading back to Oz straight after the race to compete at the Supercross Masters at the Sydney Superdome the following weekend.
Reardon has just been confirmed to represent Australia at the MX des Nations and the Glen Helen race will undoubtedly give him a good insight into how his speed rates against the worlds best and let him know what his strengths and weaknesses are. Currently leading the Australian Supercross Pro Open class, this opportunity is definitely happening at the right time in his racing career!
Enduro racing teen Josh Strang is also heading stateside as well to join Aussie gun Glenn Kearney in the GNCC series. Strang just finished second overall in the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Series to Queenslander Anthony Roberts, in just his second year and it will be good to see how he runs with the highly competitive field. The GNCC race format sees all riders leaving at the same time so should make for some exciting racing.
NSW motocross rider Cody Mackie has topped off a great year with a third in the Ken Hall Memorial Motocross race in the UK recently. Mackie rode consistently, finishing third and fourth in the strong field to get the third overall for the day. This following his fifth overall in the Aussie motocross Championships and he too will be heading back to compete in the Lites class at the Sydney Supercross.
In US Motocross news, Ricky Carmichael has secured the AMA Motocross Championship with 2 rounds to spare! Carmichael has dominated this season with his consistency and raw speed. Go RC!
